Baranca Stima

The cottage is located in the village of Aldeia de Além. By car, it is an hour and fifteen minutes from Lisbon Airport. It is a small cozy house in Portuguese style, surrounded by a garden and views on multiple sides. There are two covered outdoor seating areas, one of which has a barbecue. There is also a studio, perfect for example for an 'artist in residence' or as extra space when the weather is a bit less nice.
In the cozy living room you can sit 'outside' when the large doors are open, but also sit snugly by the pellet stove.
Through the living room you reach the bathroom.
The kitchen is equipped with an induction cooktop, electric oven, and microwave. There is a washing machine for laundry, but we do the dishes by hand. Plates, cutlery, glasses, etc. are all available. Also a Nespresso, kettle, toaster, and air fryer.
There are 2 small bedrooms and 1 large master bedroom. All linen is supplied. You reach the small rooms through the large bedroom. A bit strange, but typically Portuguese. Including the sofa beds there are 10 sleeping places. The former barn has been set up as a studio. Between the thick walls of the old stone building you can retreat creatively or be inspired by the beautiful landscape. Or use it as a 2nd living/dining room.
The small intermediate space (between the bedroom, kitchen, and living room) we have designated as a multimedia room. There is a WiFi hotspot, a Bluetooth speaker, and you can watch television.
Under the large terrace there is a dining table and a barbecue. Even in bad weather it is pleasant here. You can then relax in one of the hammocks. The shade protects you from rain but also from the intense sunlight.
There are no additional costs except for cleaning fees. We trust that you will not use an excessive amount of energy and water. It is also not allowed to charge electric vehicles via our cottage during your stay.

Arrival can be after 4:00 PM and departure before 10:00 AM. Other times are possible by arrangement. Our lovely neighbor Olga takes care of the cleaning and ensures everything is in order for your arrival. You can arrive on any desired day after consultation. During your stay, we assume you will clean up yourself. Bed linen and towels are provided. There is also a baby crib. You pay the rent in advance, including cleaning fees.

You will receive the keys 'contactless' on site. Information about this will be sent to you after payment.
