Les Jardins de Peymeinade

Our house is built in Provencal style: pink plastered walls, windows and doors with small windows, typical round roof tiles in a red-brown color. It is the southernmost house of a group; the houses are nicely staggered with respect to each other. Because of the 30 cm thick walls, the house is well insulated against the summer heat (and against the cold in winter).

Our house is located with about 45 other houses against the village of Peymeinade, so the stores, the post office, the Bar Tabac, the pharmacist and the doctor are close at hand. In addition to their own private gardens, the houses have a beautiful common garden (Place Orange) with a fountain in the center and a swimming pool adjacent to the garden - free to use.
Our house has on three sides a not too large garden in which tall cypress trees (formerly there was an orchard here for the perfume industry). The hedges of cypresses, laurel and oleanders provide the necessary privacy. The car can be parked in the garden on a parking space in the shade of the cypress trees.
