As we drive past the village of Mesquita we follow a descending dirt road that takes you directly to this traditional beautifully situated house. When entering the house you will find a fireplace on the right and the living room on the left. In the living room there is a wood stove that provides you with a cozy warmth during the chilly evenings. From the living room you can enjoy the beautiful view of the river.

Through the door at the back of the hallway you have access to the terrace. This terrace is fully tiled with the well-known local Santa Catarina tiles and gives you a breathtaking view of the river.

You will also find access to the bedrooms in this corridor. Through a smaller bedroom you reach the master bedroom. The smaller room offers plenty of space to. 1-person bed and a wardrobe. The larger room offers enough space to create a double bed and a walk-in closet. Both bedrooms have good light.

This house is heated by 2 wood stoves, the electricity is generated by the solar panels and through the private well the house is completely self-sufficient and off grid.
In the detached outbuilding we find the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is spacious and offers the possibility to be transformed into a nice kitchen.

This property can only become more charming after some aesthetic adjustments throughout the house. After which it is the perfect holiday home or permanent home in a unique location.
