After 32 years in the restaurant business in Tilburg, we decided to return to Marcel's birth island.
We came there almost every year during the vacations but now we really wanted to exchange the hectic European Dutch for the more relaxed and relaxing Caribbean Dutch.
We just wanted to take it easy, sometimes that works and sometimes not.
We consciously did not choose for a B&B because we would have to arrange everything by time and hour and Sjaak is still not a morning person. No, we opted for stylish, slightly more luxurious apartments with a fully equipped kitchen so that our guests can prepare their own breakfast at the time they like.
After a short search, we chose this villa because it's nice and central in the middle of the island; you're never far from anywhere. 5 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from the historic center but also the quiet authentic bays and beaches are a short distance away. If you want to go to the busy tourist nightlife, you can be there in 15-20 minutes. Here you sit in peace and quiet but still close to everything.
