Huisje in Taipalsaari

A Nature House in the middle of the beautiful Saimaa lake district in south-east Finland. It is located 17 km from the provincial town of Lappeenranta and 6 km from the villages of Taipalsaari and Saimaanharju, which offer all basic amenities. It is situated on a quiet country road on a private forest plot of almost 2 hectares.
From the terrace, a path leads down to the private sandy beach that slopes gently into Lake Saimaa. A beautiful spot for swimming and playing for the children. It is also the starting point for boating with the two canoes or the rowboat that belong to the house.
The house itself is suitable for summer and winter stays. There is central heating with underfloor heating and hot water provided by a heat pump. Drinking water is pumped from a depth of 80 meters. The house can also be heated in winter with a cozy wood fire in the soapstone stove.
There are two bedrooms downstairs and a staircase leads to an open loft with two more sleeping places. Of course, the house also has a sauna.
