Welcome to GARE 55
Stay, read, relax, sleep, work, meet, undertake and live in an old station building with a hip interpretation. Act like home: share what you want in the common areas or retreat to your room in peace.
GARE 55 is a sustainable stay in full colour for groups 20 minutes from Ghent or the sea, within cycling distance of idyllic Assenede and the creek area.
The children can play outside in the fully enclosed garden without any danger. Now and then, only during the day, a slow train thunders by which you are not disturbed.

The perfect home base
GARE 55 is a home away from home.
The handsomely decorated common room (with garden) has more than enough space to socialise, or just find a quiet corner and do some more work. Or watch TV, cook, eat, read.

In the stylish rooms, you have every comfort, including a private kitchenette and bathroom. But the real difference is in the details: in the fantastic beds, in the air conditioning in every room, in spotlights in all the right places, in the charging stations (cars) and charging points (e-bikes), in the solar energy, in our collaboration with luxurious (hand soaps and lotions from Atelier Rebul), sustainable and often local suppliers, and in the surprising view of the garden and the old railway.

Accommodation
Each of the 10 rooms and studios has its own 'front door' at the back of the building, and there is also parking for everyone with charging stations. For a few days or a long weekend, come all the way home to your temporary sanctuary overlooking the garden and the old railway, equipped with every comfort, thoughtful design and natural colours. From your PC/tablet/smartphone stream to the smart TV and thus watch your own Netflix, Disney+, Streamz, ... Simply watching oldskool TV (Telenet) is also possible.
