Château de la Barbiere

This Castle is located in the French Ardennes in le Mont-Dieu with zip code 08390 (near le Chesne) just about 30 km from the Belgian border ( Bouillon) . Very easy and smooth to reach from Belgium and the Netherlands.

It is a very beautiful, natural region with woods and open fields. A very nice region for walks and bicycle, motorcycle or car trips. (including the abbey route). From the Castle you also have a very nice view.

There are 8 bedrooms for a total of 15 people. There are 4 bathrooms with showers and sinks. Each room also has its own sink. One room on the first floor has its own walk-in shower and is wheelchair accessible. There is a dining room that also seats 15 people with an adjoining lounge with wood-burning stove. There is also a spacious chapel. This is accessible via an interior door from the Castle In the chapel there are a number of armchairs, a soccer table and dartboard. So it is an additional sitting and relaxation area. Of course, there is also an equipped kitchen with dishwasher.

Next to the sitting room there is a large covered terrace. A little further on in the garden there is a campfire place .

A small supermarket with butcher and 2 bakeries are located in Le Chesne at about 8 km. In Le Chesne there is also le Lac de Bairon, a large recreational lake with swimming and sports facilities and 2 restaurants with a beautiful terrace.
