Welcome to the charming cottage "Le Pré du Cerf – Le Cerf Noir"

A haven of peace in the heart of the Ardennes, for unforgettable moments with family or friends.

In Smuid, on the edge of the forests of Saint-Hubert and Mirwart, Laurence and Luc-Emmanuel open the doors of their charming gîte "Le Cerf Noir".

Designed to accommodate up to 14 people, this place combines modernity and authenticity, for stays where nature, comfort and conviviality blend harmoniously.

A welcoming cottage, both inside and out.

Relax in the living room around a crackling fireplace, share a meal in the dining room or cook in complete serenity in the fully equipped open kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, etc.).

The rooms are spread over two levels: 1 double bedroom with private bathroom (on the ground floor),
Upstairs: 1 double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, 2 double bedrooms and a large bathroom with bath + shower.

Children love the 6-bed dormitory, specially designed for them!

Equipment for all kinds of enjoyment: WiFi, television, Bluetooth speaker… Everything is provided so that everyone can find what they're looking for.

Outside, the semi-covered terrace, the large table, the benches and the barbecue (in summer) invite you to enjoy evenings in the heart of nature, soothed by the calm of the nearby forest.

And for game enthusiasts, a ping-pong table awaits in the garage!

Nature at your fingertips: marked hiking, mountain biking or cycling trails start from the cottage.

Wake up to the sound of birds, go on an adventure in the forest or discover the Ardennes landscapes at your own pace.

For families, the surrounding area is full of activities: Saint-Hubert game park, Han caves, Eurospace Center in Transinne, book village in Redu, or the old village at Fourneau Saint-Michel.

Lovers of the Ardennes for many years, Laurence and Luc-Emmanuel de Hults, interior designers, decided to build a new home inspired by and respectful of local materials. Their new house, built of local stone, half-timbering & rough oak cladding, with a slate roof, looks as if it has always been there, at the edge of the village and overlooking the forest. The interior reflects this concern for authenticity, the particular care taken in the use of materials without ostentation, and a design that is both sober and warm. In addition to the total design of the house and its various spaces, Luc-Emmanuel, who has been attracted to furniture design and woodworking since studying interior architecture at Saint-Luc in Brussels, was able to give free rein to his inspiration by creating with his own hands the imposing dining room table, the desk tables in the bedrooms, the clever banquette chest in the living room, the cupboard doors in brushed fir, the bunk beds in the dormitory, which should delight the children, and the installation of the kitchen, which he designed himself. Outside, the covered terrace overlooking the garden and the forest below make for a pleasant evening outdoors. The nearby footpaths invite you to put on your boots and head off into the forest for a long stroll.
