Located just outside the town of Gieten, situated on the Hondsrug (this a Dutch ridge of sand) and built on a sandbar in peat soil, is our small village called Veenhof. It is an idyllic spot for bikers, hikers, horseback riders and golfers. At approximately 1.2 miles (2 km) is the 18 hole golfcourse Semslanden and within 3.2 miles (5 km)the four star horse riding school Gasselte for beautiful outdoor riding excursions.

The house fits two to five people comfortably. The living room opens up to the kitchen and dining area.
Satellite TV and free internet are available.
The retreat is complete with two bedrooms and a loft that sleeps two guests more. The beds are made and a ready-to-use cot is also available.

Parking is available on your own driveway.

The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a combination microwave and a 4 burner gas stove. Kitchen linens are provided.
The bathroom is complete with a shower, toilet and washstand. Towels are provided. There is a washingmachine for your convenience.

Having your own backyard and patio adds to the relaxing vacation experience. We can also arrange for a delicious breakfast basket to be delivered to you in the morning so that you can enjoy a breakfast inside your cozy home.
